Cala dei Gabbiani beach

Cala dei Gabbiani can be considered a Cala Mariolu extension. The two coves are divided only by a little rock promontory, which protects the beach from Tramontana. .
It is just as impressive as Cala Mariolu but, because it is less well-known, it is also less crowded in the middle of the summer..
It owes its name to a large colony of seagulls that every evening, from sunset till the morning, until the first bathers’ arrival, regain possession of the beach by embroidering it with their foot prints.

You can reach it, just like for Cala Mariolu, everyday from June to September with staggered departures throughout the morning and a return trip scheduled for 4.00 p.m.
